WRONG TURN 1
Chris Flynn (Desmond Harrington), a medical student, is driving through the mountains of West Virginia on his way to a job interview. Due to a chemical spill in the road ahead, he is forced to take a different route. He stops at an old rundown gas station and meets an old man. The old man is not helpful, but Chris views a map detailing another possible route that heads straight towards the city to which he needed to go. Chris decides to take the road and as he is driving he crashes into a Range Rover stranded in the middle of the road. The car belongs to a group of friends on a hiking trip: Jessie Burlingame (Eliza Dushku), Carly (Emmanuelle Chriqui), her fiancé Scott (Jeremy Sisto), and a couple, Evan and Francine (Kevin Zegers and Lindy Booth). Jessie finds a piece of barbed wire in the woods that was tied to a tree across the road to puncture their tires. Jessie, Carly, and Scott go to the woods to find help. Chris joins them, while Evan and Francine stay with the cars. After Evan and Francine partake in a round of oral sex, Evan starts to fix their car, before hearing a strange noise and goes to investigate.
After a while, Francine notices that he is missing, and she goes into the woods to look for him. As Francine ventures further into the woods, she finds his sneaker, and his severed ear. As Francine stumbles back, a figure wraps barbed wire around her mouth, tearing it open and killing her. As Chris, Jessie, Carly and Scott try to find help, they find an isolated cabin. They go into the cabin and discover miscellaneous objects, and human body parts. They are horrified and try to escape, but they hear the occupants coming back and are forced to hide. Three cannibalistic mountain men, all whom are extremely disfigured, enter the cabin and bring in Francine's dead body. Chris, Jessie, Carly and Scott silently watch in horror, as her body is brutally butchered and messily eaten.
As the cannibals fall asleep, the friends silently escape, however, "Saw-Tooth" (Gary Robbins) awakes and alerts the other cannibals and begins to chase them through the forest. The group climbs up to a nearby clearing with many cars, which they realize are the cars of the cannibals' victims. Chris makes a diversion and is shot in the leg. Scott saves him by using himself as a decoy, allowing Jessie and Carly to steal one of the cannibals' trucks. Chris gets into the truck, and they drive down a path close by trying to find Scott. Carly sees Scott in the forest. Scott starts to make his way to the truck, but is shot three times in the back with arrows. The arrow almost hits the others, as they drive and escape fast. The cannibals pick up Scott's dead body and take it back to their cabin.
Chris, Jessie and Carly hit a dead end in the road and have to continue on foot. They find an old watchtower and begin to climb up, and find a radio and use it to call for help, but do not get a response. Later they see the cannibals, who are armed with torches and reaching the foot of the watchtower. The radio starts responding to their call, alerting the cannibals. Carly tries to make an urgent response but is interrupted when Three Finger (Julian Richings) tries to climb into the watchtower. He tries to get through the panel on the floor of the tower but is stopped by Chris. The cannibals then set the tower on fire. Chris, Carly and Jessie escape by jumping out of the window into a nearby tree. They begin to climb up, but Three-Finger starts to climb up a tree near them. Chris and Jessie begin to climb higher as Carly stands on a branch, too afraid to climb further. Chris and Jessie make it to another tree, but Three-Finger sneaks up behind Carly and decapitates her, as Chris and Jessie watch in horror. They decide to avenge Carly and trick Three-Finger to get hit by a branch and fall out of the tree, giving the last two survivors a chance to escape. They escape from the cannibals and hide in a cave near a waterfall until the next morning, where Chris comforts Jessie. Just as they find a road out of the woods, the mountain men find them and push Chris down the hill and capture Jessie and take her back to their cabin. Chris survives the fall and meets a sheriff, but before he is able to convince the Sheriff of what is happening, the Sheriff is killed when an arrow shot from the woods hits him in the head. Chris attempts to drive away in the car, but can not find the key, so instead hitches a ride underneath the car as the cannibal drives it back to the cabin.
When the cannibals arrive at the cabin, Jessie is tied to a bed and gagged with a belt, begging for help. Outside, the cannibal in the police truck arrives, with Chris still in tow. After the cannibal goes inside with the sheriff's body, Chris gets down from the bottom of the truck. Back inside, as Jessie is about to be killed, the front of the cabin is smashed through, by Chris, who is now driving the truck. He drives straight into the cabin and smashes into "One-Eye" (Ted Clark). When Chris unties Jessie, he is attacked by Saw-Tooth. Jessie shoots Saw-Tooth in the back of the neck with his own bow and arrow. She and Chris also fight Three-Finger, and finish him off by hitting him with an axe. Chris and Jessie notice that the cannibals are still alive, and they quickly go outside. Chris has only one shotgun shell left, which he shoots at the truck, blowing up the cabin with the cannibals still inside. Chris and Jessie, driving the cannibals' truck, stop back at the gas station. Chris, badly injured, gets out of the truck and takes the map to the cannibals' cabin, so no one will ever go into the woods again. Chris gets back into the truck, as Jessie drives down the road, and the credits roll.
The credits are interrupted by a scene showing a deputy sheriff investigating and picking over the remains of the destroyed cabin. Three-Finger, who survived the explosion, comes up behind the deputy. The deputy turns to see a shadowy figure holding an axe, and then Three-Finger's face is visible as he nods and hollers. The scene fades to black and his insane laughter is heard, as the credits continue to roll.

WRONG TURN 3
Along the trail, they stumble upon a booby trap. The prisoners escape the booby trap set by Three-Toes (Three Finger's son from the previous film). They then catch the son and behead him, leaving a trophy on the spent booby trap for Three Fingers to find as a deterrent. They soon realize it only enrages Three Fingers, and one-by-one, Three Fingers hunts and murders every prisoner and kills the sheriff. In the chaos of the killings, Nate and Alex manage to escape. They are able to find the location where the watch tower once stood, only to discover it was burned down years ago (being the same watch tower from the first movie). Chavez decides to get rid of Nate, but instead promises him another way to get out. They find Three Finger's truck and Chavez uses Alex as bait. Floyd steals the money and Chavez chases him down only to see Three Fingers lobbing a molotov cocktail at Floyd, killing him and burning all the money. Chavez then decides to give Alex back to Three Fingers to improve his chances of survival, and Three Fingers drags Alex into his truck and drives off. Three Fingers drags Alex out of the truck and back to his house where he secures her and goes back out to hunt the rest of the survivors; he comes face to face with Chavez and battles him with a hatchet and a meat hook. Both beat one another, but Three Fingers eventually kills Chavez, hangs his corpse in a tree, removes his scalp and eats part of his brain. Meanwhile, Alex has been tied up in Three Fingers' house, where she awakens to see the Sheriff's Deputy tied up naked with barbed wire, who dies shortly after. Nate finds Three Fingers' house with the help of the sheriff's dog and frees Alex, only to be ambushed by Three Fingers. The dog attacks and distracts Three Fingers, but is killed by the hook. Alex stabs the inattentive Three Fingers using the large stake that held Three Toes' head and believes she killed him. Nate and Alex take his tow truck and drive away. Three Fingers, not quite dead yet, follows them and leaps on top of the truck causing Nate to crash the truck into a tree and catch fire. Brandon the prisoner, who happens to be nearby, sees the whole thing and pulls Alex and Nate from the wreck. Three Fingers, still not quite dead yet, attacks them but Nate stabs him in the head with his own meathook.
WRONG TURN 4
The film then switches to present day where a group of college kids, Kenia (Jennifer Pudavick), lesbian couple Sara (Tenika Davis) and Bridget (Kaitlyn Wong), Lauren (Ali Tataryn), Jenna (Terra Vnesa), and Claire (Samantha Kendrick), along with their guy friends Kyle (Victor Zinck), Vincent (Sean Skene) and Daniel (Dean Armstrong) are going snowmobiling. They are heading to their friend Porter's cabin in the mountains. They get lost in a storm and seek refuge inside the now abandoned Glenville Sanatorium. Little do they know, the three now adult cannibals are hiding out in the sanatorium and murdering trespassers (Movie is silent about whereabouts of rest of patients set free by cannibals).
The group of teenagers explore the asylum, and decide to wait out the storm. After a montage of rolling around in wheelchairs, acting on illegal drugs, drinking booze and acting like teenagers, the storm still hasn't stopped so the teenagers are forced to sleep in the desolate building. In the middle of the night, Vincent, suffering from insomnia, walks around the asylum and finds Porter's mutilated body - apparently he didn't make it to his cabin either. He is then killed by Saw-Tooth having a metal rod shoved into his chin and out through the top of his head. The next morning, everyone discovers they are still snowed in, and Vincent is missing. The gang splits up to look for him, and Jenna witnesses the cannibals cutting Porter up. She runs back to tell the others and they all meet up in the auditorium. Something wrapped in Porter's jacket is thrown at them and Kenia opens it up to reveal Porter's severed head. Screaming and panicking, the group flocks around the door, trying to get out but the doors are locked. The three cannibals-up in the balcony, throw down a strip of barb-wire and loop it around Claire's neck, pulling her up to the balcony. Kyle tries to save her, but it is too late and the barb-wire tightens, severing Claire's head. Horrified, those who are left of them (Kenia, Sara, Bridget, Lauren, Jenna, Kyle and Daniel) run outside and try to escape on their snowmobiles, but the engines won't turn and it is revealed that the cannibals had stripped them of their spark plug wires. Lauren sets off to ski down the mountain to retrieve help and the other six run inside to try to defend themselves.
Kenia, Bridget, Sara, Jenna, Kyle and Daniel barricade themselves in an office where they find files on the three cannibals that say the three are deformed and cannibalistic. Sara, armed with a fire poker, Daniel, and Kyle leave to go find more weapons, Kyle remembering the room filled with knives and saws that him, Kenia, Claire and Jenna found while they were searching for Vincent. The three are chased by Three Finger who is also wielding an axe and they find the room filled with knives, lock themselves in and hide, waiting for him to pass. Meanwhile One Eye attempts to break through the door of the office with a drill but Kenia, Bridget and Jenna fend him off. Back with Sara, Kyle, and Daniel, they stock up with an arsenal of knives and other tools, and run back to the others, but on the way Daniel is grabbed by the cannibals and dismembered with a knife. Sara, Bridget, Kenia, Jenna and Kyle go to look for Daniel after hearing his screams. The cannibals are slicing off pieces of Daniel's skin and cooking them in a pot of boiling oil. Kyle is separated from everyone else and discovers the killer clan torturing Daniel. The teenagers devise a plan to catch the cannibals and succeed in trapping them inside a cell. Kyle attempts to set them on fire, but Kenia coaxes him into having the heart and not killing them. Sara, Bridget, Kenia and Jenna go to search for the spark plugs that were stripped from their snowmobiles earlier, and Kyle stands guard outside, but Three Finger manages to pick the lock to get the cell open and Saw Tooth grabs Kyle by the throat and delivers one punch then the screen goes black.
Then Kenia goes to check on Kyle and finds him and the cannibals gone. She runs back to the office with Sara, Bridget, and Jenna and the four girls decide to stay in the room until morning. One of the cannibals appear wearing a potato sack, and the girls stab him to death only to reveal it is Kyle whose tongue was cut out so who couldn't talk and they just mistakenly killed him. The girls then encounter the three cannibals and are chased up into the attic. They find some old winter clothes and put them on and then run back down to the main floor and try to escape through a window. To their dismay, they are all grated, except for one where the grate is bent. Sara rips away the grating and shatters the glass and the girls climb through the window and out into the snow. But Jenna-who climbs through last-doesn't make it and is killed with a drill. Kenia, Sara and Bridget run away into the snow pursued by the cannibals on the teenager's snowmobiles. Bridget is captured, but escapes using her knife to stab the killer in the arm. Kenia is wounded, and Bridget is killed. Morning starts to come, and it is revealed that Lauren had frozen to death, just a few yards from a road. It switches to the cannibal chasing Kenia on the snowmobile, but Sara hits him with a log. The two then board the snowmobile and drive off into the snow--but they run into a barbwire fence and are both decapitated. Three Finger then appears, grabs the girl's heads, throws them into the back of the yellow tow truck that appeared in the first film. Hops in himself and him and the other cannibals drive off and the film ends.
